T-shirts, tops and travel insurance.

So with less the three weeks to go until I depart for New Zealand, my father comes to me and says “yeah, we should get t-shirts made! I will leave it with you to sort out.” Gee thanks dad!

His idea is that we get matching t-shirts made for the three of us that are going to all the Scotland pool matches together, something i thought you only got done on a stag weekend, clearly I was wrong. (unless this is a massive stag do, and no one told me)

The idea itself is a good one, just the lack of time before we depart could pose a slight problem. Three weeks to get a design, sizes and the production of them done is not long. (Though i may be taking this too seriously)

Anyway, moving on to more exciting news! My (and by “my” i mean the family’s) travel insurance came through finally, so one more thing to be checked off the list of things to do.

Speaking of which, what is better? a check list or a tick box list, there is a difference, so I’m told anyway.

All that is left for me to get sorted is the packing and spending money, not looking forward to the packing, no idea how much to take, how much is too much?? Though some people have told me that I’m taking my kilt and two rugby tops and that’s it! Something to do with wanting all my luggage space to cart presents over. I am taking my kilt, and I will be taking two rugby tops (at least two) but I thought that I might need a bit more than that! socks? T-shirts (though we have covered that all ready) shoes?! The money side of it will just need to take care of itself while I am there. No point in worrying about something I can’t really do much more about at this late stage of the game.

At the moment this is a very non media intensive blog (no photos, videos or such) and thus is very dull. I intend to change this when I get to New Zealand and perhaps before. I just don’t think people will be that interested in me showing an empty case with a sign saying “put stuff in here”. I will try a Vlog before I go and post it here and on YouTube. Not that it will have anything of great interest in it, but at least it will be something more interesting than line after line of text on screen.
