The Countdown has begun!

Tickets and oh the excitement!.

So, we are now closer to the start of the tournament than we have ever been. Saying that, we will be closer tomorrow and the same the day after tomorrow, but hey who’s counting?
The latest big new is that the tickets for the tournament have started to drop through letter boxes around the world, things must be really gearing up!

So these bits of gold dust are starting to arrive, meaning it is getting closer to the actual event!
My own preparations are in full swing, by the time I publish this blog, my travel insurance will have been bought  yeah, that hasn't happened yet, but I’m all over it! Spending money will have been put away (though probably no where near enough). So it is finally really happening, me in New Zealand for a month this September. Poor New Zealand, they don’t know what they are in for!

It now seems that I will be spending at least one week, maybe two in the very south of the south island (any further south and i would be in the Antarctic!) and I hope to visit a few landmarks and places of interest during my time there.

As for the second two weeks of my trip, with two matches now in the north island, it means I will get to see more of the wonderful place that is New Zealand (and that can only be a good thing). The talk at that moment is that we will spend time with friends and family in new Plymouth (which will please my dad, it was all he talked about from his last trip to NZ)

Any recommendations on what to see/visit/drink?

I can honestly say I have not looked forward to something so much since I was a wee boy! I have already warned people at work that my generally productivity will drop dramatically in the last week before i leave. (I’m not saying it’s right, I’m just saying it will happen)

So, with preparations in full swing I’m looking forward to the trip and the experiences that will enrich my life! (too much?)

Rugby World Cup New Zealand 2011? CAN’T WAIT!
